Wael Eskandar says at instagram:
"Things that the police determine could be a threat to public order and then using extreme violence in order to protect the public from expressions.
This is not a sign of a democracy or protecting against hatred.
This is a sign of an authoritarian state trying to control speech, not protect society against hate speech.
In autocracies, you're not allowed to criticize the president.
You're not allowed to criticize the government..
And they arrest you for that.
But in democracies, they create shit.
They make up lies on top of breaking their own laws in order to justify that they're a democracy.
They're saying, yes, this is a terror slogan. This is banned.
They even deny the authority of courts having ruled about things.
What are they really protecting? Nothing.
Protecting the state from opinions.
That is exactly what authoritarianism is.
And that is exactly what the German government is doing."
