THE ONLY FREEDOM LEFT IS: COLLABORATE OR RESIST
FASCISM COMES CREEPING: A DEMO-DIARY IN DECISIVE TIMES

Is the police press office less and less capable of telling the truth?
Are the police becoming more politicized?
When injured police officers become heroes despite what really happened, does this lust for hate say anything about how we are arming a genocide again?
Does the lust for hatred against Gaza demonstrations say something about the fact that we are currently committing genocide? What is the collective wave of hate saying about the mainstream now finding some words about Israel as long as they are empty words?
The chancellor’s criticism of Israel remains empty so that he can continue to supply weapons.

There is the perception that the policeman was flattened by his own colleagues: “they accidentally leaned on him”, says Eskalabe, for example.
I'm also waiting for footage from the police to prove whether the injured policeman was really pulled into the crowd by people on NakbaDay. So far, no public video has been able to prove this, on the contrary. This I say not in any way that would justify violence.
I genuinely believe the police needs to be accountable and their press office is playing with the truth when their information is actually critically important in many matters and should not have been turned into a propaganda outlet feeding hate.

"As always in fascism: there is no other options but collaborate or resist. Bystanders collborate", writes Tomer Dreyfus.
But there is also good devellopments:
Everyone has moved over to the movement for Palestine, one voice tells me at the Fridays People's Tribunal in Berlin. This friday the event was about the global march to Gaza. I tell my starving friend in Gaza via Signal about the event, just to help him keep going.
Egypt is completely complicit with Israel, it closed the boarder, one friend tells me before the event.

My friend Eskandar writes about the complicity in genocide by the leadership of a union:
"Verdi banned using the word Widerstand (resist) in chants and speeches. The star speaker, one of the directors of a cultural center called Oyoun, was denied the platform to give their speech midway through the march despite Oyoun being one of the first cultural spaces to bear the brunt ideologically motivated funding cuts."
"The Palestine block, also protesting the crackdown on cultural spaces, was berated and isolated. Verdi organizers in red and yellow vests, acting as civilian enforcers, kettled protesters till the police stepped in to inflict their repressive measures," writes Eskandar.

The police are not allowed to simply demand that recordings be deleted, police spokesman Halweg told me on 30.4.25.
My colleague Eskalabe was ordered to do something similar by the police. I am writing to Eskalabe: It is not legally right of the police to negotiate the deletion of videos by direct coercion, I guess.
When I ask Police spokesman Nath about his perception of another colleague, Xberger, Nath tells me on April 30 that Xberger is a provocateur.
But I perceive Xberger as a journalist who, in his role as a journalist, is allowed to criticize the police at demonstrations if they act disproportionately.
